Here is Fortnite's season 4 trailer

Fortnite season 4 begins, well, any minute really. But while the servers are offline, you can take a look at the leaked trailer.

The trailer, which heralds the arrival of season 4 (and you can watch at the top of this article), opens to a standard 50s B-movie aesthetic, showing a flying saucer circling the earth. The shot then pans away, showing a character wearing the Rust Lord skin viewing the movie within a drive-in movie theatre. It’s then that the meteors start falling, peppering the poor unsuspecting Rust Lord with space rock.

Robocraft says no to loot boxes, yes to China

Developers Freejam have removed all forms of loot box from free-to-play robot action battler Robocraft, along with most of the game’s pay-to-win features. This includes all boxes purchasable with real-world currency, and also free daily crates. The developers say this is based on “persistent feedback from the community”.

Daily crates will be replaced with daily quests, which players can complete to gain XP and Robits (Robocraft’s in-game currency). The current crate-based progression system, of which the community have not been fans, will be replaced with a Tech Tree similar to the game’s original hex system, in which players earn Tech Points as they level up that can be spent on new skills.

Fortnite Season 4 Cinematic trailer gelekt

De trailer voor Fortnite Season 4 is vroegtijdig gelekt. Eerder raakte al bekend dat Fortnite seizoen 4 op 1 mei van start gaat.

In het korte filmpje is even te zien hoe meteorieten neerstorten op de wereld. Ook wordt er verwezen naar buitenaardse wezens middels geluiden en een mysterieus object aan het einde van het filmpje. Mogelijk zijn de geruchten over Fortnite aliens en Tilted Towers dus waar.

De servers van Fortnite zijn momenteel offline voor onderhoud. Het is nog onbekend wanneer de game weer voor iedereen beschikbaar is. In de tussentijd kun je op de site ons overzicht met Fortnite tips en tricks nog eens doornemen.

Battle royale is already saturated according to State of Decay 2 dev

State of Decay 2 developers Undead Labs are already calling time on the battle royale genre. Though they're making a survival game - the genre that incubated battle royales - they're not fighting for their own slice of gaming's latest trend.

Techland verkrijgt volledige rechten op Call of Juarez-serie

Techland verkrijgt de volledige rechten op de Call of Juarez-serie en heeft Call of Juarez: Gunslinger met 33 procent korting opnieuw uitgebracht op Steam. De uitgeefrechten waren voorheen in handen van Ubisoft.

Call of Juarez speelt zich in het Wilde Westen af. In het origineel uit 2007 en het vervolg Bound in Blood stonden de broers McCall en hun zoektocht naar goud centraal. The Cartel is een moderne variant die agenten volgt in hun strijd tegen Mexicaanse drugskartels en Gunslinger keer terug naar de oorspronkelijke setting.
