Following Colonel Autumn's act of rebellion and the general order to rally at the Purifier, Elder [[Owyn Lyons]] decides to strike, delivering a crippling blow to the [[Enclave]] forces in the [[Capital Wasteland]] and securing [[Project Purity]]. [[Liberty Prime]] will spearhead the attack, followed by [[Lyons' Pride]], Sentinel [[Sarah Lyons]], and the [[Lone Wanderer]].

The first is an extended interactive cutscene as Liberty Prime fights its away across the [[Arlington Bridge]], wiping out all Enclave soldiers, emplacements, fortifications, and [[Vertibird]]s in the way. [[Lyons' Pride]] follows close behind the machine. It's recommended to save right at the beginning of the quest, especially on weaker machines, as performance tends to dip during the fighting.

2018 is another jam-packed year of movies and I'm trying to guess which ones will be taking home box office gold as the highest grossing movies of the year.
Following the huge releases that came out the last couple of weeks to end 2017, we have a pretty slow one ahead, as we start to move into the tepid box office month that is January.
Jodie Foster has some choice words about big budget spectacles overtaking the market, and you can read them inside.
We have many years ahead of new and different Star Wars titles hitting the big screen. But what exactly are those projects? How long do we have to wait for them?
The twelve month period that we will remember as 2017 is coming to an end, and just as it has for the last three weeks, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is on top. However, that's not the only interesting development of the last three days.
One of EA's more baffling business decisions of the last decade was been irritating fans of Bioware's classic space-RPG trilogy for years now. Despite the series having fallen into a coma after the troubled launch of Mass Effect: Andromeda, there was still no easy to to purchase the (widely considered essential) DLC for Mass Effects's 2 & 3 on PC without the use of a clunky third-party pseudo-currency called Bioware Points, and even then, the prices were extortionate.
Now, half that problem has been fixed. You can now purchase the DLC direct, although the price is still rather questionable.
Feel like exploring the stars without breaking the bank? Our picks for the best space-borne games out there contains a few bargains, Mass Effect aside.
While Origin points are still sold, and while they do still seem to be the primary way to grab individual pieces of Mass Effect DLC to this day, you can now by the DLC as two separate bundles, each including absolutely everything released as extras for the second and
Netflix's Bright exists in a world where orcs, elves, and humans live side by side in the modern world. Check out this featurette explaining the alternate history of the world of Bright.
We still might not yet know what the hell Death Stranding actually is, but pretty much everyone seems to agree that they are eager to play whatever insanity director Hideo Kojima has pulled together. And according to a recent interview, that time might come sooner than anticipated.
Black Mirror usually upsets people but that's intentional. These people in Turkey had no idea what was happening when they saw an unsettling advertisement for the show.
Take a moment to think about this: there have been around 6000 new games released on Steam alone this year. That figure is ridiculous. How are any of us supposed to keep up with a backlog that big? It’s simply not possiblet - instead, we have to pick and choose from the towering smorgasbord of PC games thrust into our overwhelmed faces. Terrible, isn’t it?
Given that huge volume of new releases there are bound to be a bunch of games that passed you by this year. Small, independent titles in particular, no doubt - ones that you either don’t know about or bypassed in order to play the latest big release.
Well, listen up: it is now time to give those games you missed a chance, OK? Below we have picked out five that are absolutely worth checking out. You will have a good time with at least one of them. Promise.
Here are the best big games of 2017 you should play if you haven't already.
Down a dark, dark road, atop a dark, dark mountain, inside a dark, dark hotel, there is a rave for weirdos going on, and you need to break in.
In recent years, swatting has led to everything from accidental shootings of police officers to targets being shot themselves by rubber bullets. This past week, a man was allegedly shot and killed over just such a "prank," supposedly over a Call of Duty dispute.
Mark Hamil Strikes Back at some people trying to spread rumors about the ending of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. SPOILER WARNING.
Reboots and remakes run the gamut from good to great, but one upcoming remake that could be exciting is Mary Poppins Returns, starting Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda
Not everything in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is super-serious and story-oriented. In fact, some of the stuff located in the game is designed for pure fun, so much so that the production team added in something as ridiculous as golden poop as a big prize in the game.
The head of BBC America shared her thoughts on why Top Gear struggled to start out.
Even though Zac Efron is currently a pretty big deal in the movie business, he hasn't forgotten his roots and recently he had a nice surprise for his hometown of Arroyo Grande, California.
With one Stephen King adaptation under his belt, Gerald's Game director Mike Flanagan wouldn't mind tackling these King novels one day.
The sun is getting real low on 2017, which means we have precious few moments to take stock of everything that happened over the past 12 months. After the truly dreadful 2016 - where celebrities queued up for coffins and YouTubers scammed children - people prepared themselves for one of two equally horrible eventualities: a blockbuster multimillion-dollar sequel with fireworks aplenty, or a dim fizzle as the planet went direct to DVD.
Since you happen to be reading this, clearly the rockets didn’t fly - but that is not to say 2017 was the smoothest ride.
The developer Atooi has been making some high quality indie games over the years, and now the company's next big project has been revealed. What is that project? Well, there are some big plans to release three of the company's games for the Nintendo Switch, starting with one of the studio's most...

One of the biggest complaints about _Super Smash Bros. _on the Wii U was that it wasn't like Super Smash Bros. Melee for the GameCube. Well, some gamers felt that the only way to truly fix the problem was to overhaul the Wii U version so that it plays like the GameCube version.
A well-known villain could be around to cause trouble in the live-action Titans.
While I admit that while I'm not an especially avid player of it, Cygames' Shadowverse consistently impresses me with just how much content it churns out over the course of a year, along with the generosity it shows its players at the start of each expansion cycle.
This week, the 7th expansion for the game - Chronogenesis - launched, and players logging in now will find themselves blessed with a hefty stack of cards to ring in the new year. I found myself with no less than 14 Chronogenesis boosters!
The legacy of Magic: The Gathering has never been stronger on PC. Check out the best card-based dueling games available on the platform today.
In addition to the predictable slew of new cards (138 of them, in fact) added to the mix, Chronogenesis shakes things up a bit by introducing an 8th player class, based around the magic of Portalcraft. Sadly, you won't be hucking Weighted Companion Cubes at anyone, but you will be goofing around with a seemingly bottomless deck that boosts the power of many of your active cards when you have an even number left to draw.

I'm convinced there's a secret in here. I can't figure it out though, and perhaps I'm being crazy. BUT, the bell and the cat don't add up? I feel like there's something you can do with the bell to make something happen, I tried hitting the bell corresponding to the numbers on the cash register (one hit, two hits, one hit, three hits), of course nothing happened. This is my first bethesda game so I don't really know if they do stuff like this, but they keep saying that not all the secrets have been found. Also I lost all my save data when my ps4 broke so if it has anything to do with requiring a certain level of something im probably not high enough level.only spent about 20 minutes messing around but yeah, just thinking out loud basically. Thoughts?

The post-holiday weekend is the perfect opportunity to kick back and unwind with something a little slower, a little easier, a little more experimental. The Grandfather Machine - a project led by NFTS Games student Shuaiying Hou - is a short but sweet little game of puzzling navigation set in a labyrinth where gravity's effective direction is variable, and the space around you isn't quite as predictable as you might hope.
One of the best things about PC gaming is the mountain of stuff you can get for free. Here's a hundred - just the tip of the iceberg - to get you started.
It's probably best to download The Grandfather Machine and play it for yourself rather than watch the gameplay video above - save the clip for afterwards, as it includes some interesting Making Of footage, too.

People have long enjoyed killing each other on the internet. A decade or so ago, deathmatches, domination, and capture the flag modes were all the rage, helped along by heavy hitters such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Halo 3. But 2017 saw the rise of a genre that diverted the attention of multiplayer devotees everywhere: the battle royale.
The concept is intoxicatingly simple, one you must be aware of by now: unarmed players land on a map, scavenging weapons so that they can hold a position inside a shrinking safe zone, all with a view to be the last player standing. Whether you choose to lurk in the shadows or be the person gleefully flushing out hide-and-seekers from their cunning hidey-holes, the freedom this now tried-and-tested formula allows only gets more thrilling with time.

The fancy new AMD Vega graphics cards were officially unveiled at a tech day surrounding SIGGRAPH in LA. With the launch of the RX Vega consumer GPUs creeping ever closer, AMD have been looking to manage the somewhat over-enthusiastic expectations that have dogged their first high-end graphics card release in years.
Id's revival of the series last year might have given the classic Doom mod scene a bit of a boost (or at least a little more press coverage), but 2017's spree of manic activity from one of the oldest and strongest mod scenes out there was entirely attributable to the community.
The game may be 24 years old, but Doom mods are cooler than ever, democratically speaking. The masses have been heard, and ModDB's Player's Choice award for best mod of 2017 goes to Sgt Mark IV's splatteriffic and ambitious Brutal Doom, which saw a major new beta release this month.
True classics never die on PC. They evolve, grow and become stronger than you could ever imagine. Check out some of our most recommended PC oldies here.
One of the most common complaints leveled at Brutal Doom is that by changing the core game's balance so much, it doesn't pair up well with most commonly played level packs, vanilla Doom 2 & expansions included. The (beta) v21 release aims to address that twice over. Firstly, if you play the original Doom 2 campaign, you'll find many of the levels remixed and enhanced so as to better match the style of the mod. This is an entirely optional feature, but an interesting one.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is going bigger than ever, and will boast the largest action sequence of any Jurassic Park movie.
Jenny McCarthy thinks the diva deserves another shot at ringing in the new year on television.
Gaming’s ever-present yet ever-inaccurate argument that single-player games are dead was once again proved false in 2017. We previously explored the reasons why they are still very much alive, but this year was notably special for solo gaming. Not only did we see numerous single-player games released but the quality ceiling was pleasingly high. In fact, 2017 was the best year for solo gamers in quite some time.
Like your entertainment high quality? These are the best PC games.
A huge chunk of single-player success this year has been down to a solitary publisher: Bethesda. A company with a proud dedication to narrative campaigns, they even produced a mock public service video for the Video Game Awards, featuring the wondrous Lynda Carter begging viewers to consider the plight of the solo gamer. Not that the begging was needed: it came in the closing weeks of one of the company’s most expressive and creative years.
It turns out that all three of Mark Hamill's kids have cameos in The Last Jedi, and he's given us hints on where to find them.
Giant stompy robots make everything better. Well, almost everything. Masonry doesn't seem to fare so well, as brick, mortar and stone don't stand up too well to the rigors of alternate-history mechanized warfare, as we can see in this little peek at Iron Harvest, King Art Games' new RTS in development.
It's been over a year since we last took a peek at this promising game of stompy robots in an alternate-earth 1920s, and it's looking no worse for wear.
Iron Harvest is looking solid, but it's a good ways off still. Fortunately, we've got everything the aspiring strategist could ever hope to play in the meantime.
More than anything, the gameplay shown here reminds me of DigitalMindSoft's excellent (if anarchic) Men of War series, which simulate the chaos of the battlefield to such a degree that a shell can ricochet off a dead tank hull, fly halfway across the map and air-burst above a vital infantry squad, changing the entire course of a battle though improbable bad luck and impressively simulated physics.
Sophie Turner had been open about her excitement for the upcoming sequel, and she even thinks Dark Phoenix could change the superhero genre itself.

As is always the way of things, 2018 kicks off with the great and the good, and the downright terrible, of the tech world descending on Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show. There’s going to be a whole lot of CPU, GPU, laptop-like, monitor-y, peripheralised type stuff going down in Vegas, so it’s good to be prepared.

The last twelve months might well have seen a whole lot of new kit arrive, particularly with AMD seemingly having released new hardware every time I booted up my PC in the morning. But 2018 is going to be necessarily more interesting, because everything that happened is 2017 now needs to be topped.

In any event, all titles are recognized and accepted outside of the council chambers, but within the chambers, the titles are occasionally used as insults and spark furious debates - nothing more than petty displays of each state trying to exert its independence."''</ref>

That means singing to make friends with nearby animals, which will lead to new items and areas. Fe’s got a glide ability that looks a little Breath of the Wild-inspired, letting you gently float down to interesting points in the distance.

French had a lengthy career before games, having been a radio presenter and producer since the 1950s. He had written and produced over 800 programs, including many by his own radio drama program Imagination Theatre.

Maybe someday we'll get to add a new Diablo to our list of upcoming PC games.

Last night, local news sources reported that a Wichita, Kansas man was shot and killed by police after they were falsely informed of a hostage situation at a local home. Members of the Call of Duty community report that this was the result of a swatting prank between two players unrelated to the man who was killed.
Those reports have been collected by Dexerto, and they point to a $1.50 wager on UMG as the source of the dispute between players. One player reportedly provided false information about his home address in an effort to “seem tough,” pointing to a nearby address in Wichita.

There’s another cap in Destiny 2 set to limit the amount of resources you can gain by farming, and like the old XP scaling system it’s not exactly presented in the most transparent way. There’s a limit to how much glimmer you can earn at a time, which can leave you facing hordes of enemies without the in-game currency reward you might expect. But before you grab your pitchfork, bear in mind that this same cap was in place for the first Destiny.
Still struggling with the game’s latest challenge? Here’s our Destiny 2 Eater of Worlds raid lair guide.
Some (admittedly unscientific) testing on Reddit revealed that the earning cap still exists. After you’ve earned around 400 glimmer from killing enemies, the currency stops dropping. Wait a while and you can start earning again, but with a slightly smaller cap.
