2018 is promising to be another stellar year for tech, following on from the unprecedented shake-up of 2017. AMD rocked the foundations of the age-old Intel institution at the start of the year with their Ryzen processors, and Intel finally ditched the four-core standard for mainstream chips in response… and that barely even sums up the processor world of the last year.

What you could not know is that shortly afterwards, and long before its release, the startup studio behind Abducted went out of business.

Ontwikkelaar Warm Lamp Games maakt bekend dat er een opvolger voor Beholder in de maak is. Beholder 2 lanceert in de tweede helft van 2018 en plaatst je opnieuw in de schoenen van een medewerker van een totalitair regime.
In de eerste Beholder speelde je de rol van een landheer. Met behulp van geheime camera's bespioneerde je je buren en gaf je verdachte activiteiten door aan de overheid. In Beholder 2 is de opzet hetzelfde, maar deze keer werk je in een voerheidsdepartement en bespioneer je je collega's.
In de game bepaal je zelf hoeveel informatie je doorspeelt aan de regering. Je kan er dus ook voor kiezen om informatie te verzwijgen, of net om collega's die jouw carrière in de weg staan in de problemen te brengen. Beholder 2 is voorlopig enkel aangekondigd voor de pc. Het is nog niet geweten of er ook een consoleversie komt.
