Battlerite brings MOBA gameplay to battle royale

Free-to-play MOBA Battlerite is getting a battle royale mode, which will be out this summer. The new mode, appropriately dubbed ‘Battlerite Royale’, throws up to 20 players into a free-for-all deathmatch on a map 20 times the size of the regular game’s arena.

Battlerite Royale seems like it will have the same basic gameplay of the main game, with an isometric camera, top-down WASD controls, a reliance on skill and map awareness, and having different champions to choose from who all play differently. To this developers Stunlock will add the classic royale gameplay, such as hunting for items, fighting other players to steal their stuff, and being the last one standing at the end of a ten-minute match.
