Virtus.Pro takes $500k win at ESL One Dota 2 tournament

The UK’s biggest esports event to date has wrapped, with Russian squad Virtus.Pro reigning victorious in a flawless run of matches at The Arena in Birmingham.

VP trounced runners-up Optic Gaming, with a 3-0 win in the grand final. The team will not only take home a quite frankly absurdly large trophy, but also a cool $500k - half of the tournament’s $1m prize pool. North American squad Optic Gaming took the second-place prize of $200,000.
