Fallout 4 settlements list

Fallout 4 Settlements List and Guide

Its graphical user interface is often overly opaque, and also at instances Fallout 4 has a number of the exact technical dilemmas since Bethesda's prior matches, from unusual AI quirks to performance hitches and genuine hard locks of the computer software. It unforgiving. And even though a next-gen visual overhaul, its human personalities look a small terrifying. I am not nearly as large a fan of the Diamond City radio DJ since I had been of Three Dog at Fall-out 3. While this can be lifted directly from previous Fallout matches, fall-out 4 is considerably compact within the way in which that the player character's talents are all managed. Each SPECIAL skill H-AS 10 capacities also each talent needs a rank in the skill. When you level up, you have a single purpose, which you may use to unlock an skill, or to increase your entire SPECIALs. Granted, the change was scary -- accessible bonuses and abilities are shown on a poster, list every perk available. Competency must not be considered a bullet tip to get a game's store web page, however, it was obscure to really enjoy the gunplay in fall-out 4 soon after trudging through the controls in literally every other game Bethesda was left. Functional used to be the watchword, plus it's been replaced by something that can actually be fun. Clearly, skill shots aren't always possible, and weapons have stats that influence precision, their effectiveness, recoil and the like -- particularly today that you may alter just about every object of equipment.

In spite of that shift, Fallout 4 feels familiar outside at the Commonwealth, fall out's alternate history catchall merging of those brand new England states that nearly all reluctantly includes Massachusetts and Boston. Except that fall out 4's shooting and movement allow it to feel like a more practical, qualified shooter now. Like every fall out game, fall-out 4 places you in the sneakers of a fish from water, then thrown into the wasteland remains of the nuclear post-apocalypse. A few taxpayers could find shelter over the Vaults large, gigantic , hyper-advanced underground cities designed to hold out against the end of the world ahead of the dinosaurs fell. You act as finds himself separated from his loved ones and hauled 200 decades into the long term.

Vermintide 2 gets mod support, daily challenges

Vermintide 2 developer Fatshark today announced that a stream of new content is coming to the game in its latest content update, and the best part is, it’s all free.

Players of the fast-selling game can now dive into Okri’s daily challenges and quests and earn over 100 new cosmetic items including skins, hats, and portrait frames. Anyone who owns Vermintide 2 can expect to see the download enter their queue next time they log in to Steam.

Okri’s Challenges will give players a chance to earn new loot on a daily basis, that remain available if they’re not completed. The new challenges will also give you the chance to earn some of the most sought-after gear in the empire, meaning you can kit out your favourite hero, quicker. Fatshark has also addressed a fan criticism and increased the chances of obtaining cosmetics from chests.

Hankering for more questing? These are the best free MMOs out now for PC.

One of the more interesting aspects of this update is the addition of mod support. Mods for Vermintide 2 will now be supported through Steam Workshop, where you can subscribe to community-created mods and try them out as you see fit. If you want to get modding, you can check out the official how-to-guide to learn more.

Vermintide 2 Slayer leap

“Vermintide 2 already challenges the players, but now we amp it up with daily challenges and quests,” says Mats Andersson, game designer at Fatshark. “The Content Update will bring exclusive skins, portrait frames and cosmetics for heroes who rise to the challenge.”

Here's a quick video that runs through what's new.

Frostpunk to expand with new game modes and options throughout the year

The snowbound micro-city of Frostpunk is going to be expanding this year, with free additional content in the form of new game modes and customization options. Developer 11 Bit Studios revealed their roadmap for 2018, saying they’re planning on continuing to support Frostpunk into next year.

One of Frostpunk’s interesting spins on the city management genre is the hard time cap. You have 45 days, and your settlement either survives, or it doesn’t. Upcoming content will assume the former, giving players ways to continue playing once they’ve shepherded their city through the base campaign.

The roadmap doesn’t provide much in the way of detail, but there are a few key tidbits to note. Coming in June, there’s Survivor, a new game mode. At some point after that, basic customization for people and automatons will be added - that could mean specializations or equipment for citizens, and potentially add-on modules for Frostpunk’s towering robots.

If Frostpunk is a bit too chilly for your taste, try something from our list of the best building games on PC.

Later on, we’ll see The Builders, which is a new scenario, followed by another new game mode called Endurance. Finally, there’s a planned update called “Winter Snapshots,” and how that will work is anybody’s guess.

Frostpunk had a remarkably strong launch, selling more than 250,000 copies in its first three days on Steam, and 11 Bit CEO Grzegorz Miechowski said at the time that the success confirmed their plans to create follow-on content for the game.

The Tomb Kings get their Bone Giants in Total War: Warhammer 2 today

The Bone Giant (known in the eighth edition of the Warhammer tabletop game as a Necrolith Colossus, but that's not important right now) is now live in Total War: Warhammer II.

It is the only unit from the Tomb Kings' tabletop roster that didn't make it into the game back in January, but that wrong has now been righted. The sudden addition will doubtless kindle hope in the hearts of Beastmen players, who are still missing such units as Jabberslythes, Ghorgons, and Doombulls.

For more worlds to conquer, empires to despoil, and pylons to build, check out our list of the best strategy games on PC.

Bone Giants should be available in the game now, alongside its Resurgent patch and the new Queen and the Crone DLC. This new content does a great job of filling in other holes in certain army rosters: the DLC adds Sisters of Slaughter, Supreme Sorceresses, and Doomfire Warlocks for the Dark Elves; Sisters of Avelorn, Handmaidens, and Shadow Warriors for the High Elves; and new Legendary Lords and Regiments of Renown for both.

If you're wondering what else is new in Total War: Warhammer II, how much of it is free, or just what we thought of our time playing it all, check out our Queen and the Crone DLC impressions.

Everything Fallout 76 could be, from joining the Enclave to managing a city

One mysterious gif and an irritating 24-hour Twitch stream later and we now know that Bethesda’s next gargantuan, open-world RPG will be Fallout 76. Or will it? A combination of rumours and subtle clues spread throughout the teaser trailer suggest that Fallout 76 is not the traditional Bethesda roleplaying experience. Fans have been busy theorising every possibility from the trailer, from a Fallout MMO to a survival game along the lines of Rust or even Ark: Survival Evolved.

Here at PCGamesN we have a few ideas of our own when it comes to Fallout 76. Some sensible suggestions that are grounded in the series’s lore and informed by tidbits spotted in the trailer; some speculative ideas based on rumoured gameplay features and recent gaming trends; and some that are just downright ridiculous.

Related: here are the top RPGs on PC.

The Fallout 76 trailer shows off Vault 76, a Vault-Tec shelter that has been referenced in a number of Fallout games and is located somewhere in Virginia. Vault 76 is a “control” vault, which means its inhabitants are not subject to the same devious human experiments Overseers performed in the majority of Vaults cross the United States. The trailer also reveals the year that Fallout 76 will likely be set in: 2102. If this is the case then Fallout 76 will explore a wasteland that has only existed for 25 years.

Fallout 76 online game rumours

So, armed with all of that knowledge - not to mention plenty of irrelevant information - here are our best and weirdest guesses at what the game could be while we wait for the Fallout 76 release date.

Gerucht: naam volgende Assassin's Creed game gelekt

Corsair HS70 review: wireless gaming headset without the premium price

Corsair’s first budget-friendly HS series headset, the HS50, entered the gaming headset market like a wrecking ball. This time around, Corsair has tried its hand at a wireless model, the HS70. So the question is, can Corsair go two-for-two and rise to the top with a wireless gaming headset that manages both performance and affordability?

Right off the bat, if you are familiar with the HS50, you’ll notice the striking resemblance between the two. Very little has changed in core design with this second addition to the HS series, and the wireless functionality evidently fits snugly into the standard headset chassis. That means the understated look, minimal gamer flair, and RGB-agnostic style is carried over from the HS50 - but now comes in white.

Don’t mind a cable? Here are the best wired gaming headsets of 2018.

That also means the padding on the ear cups is a little stiff, as is the ear cup frame, and the headband padding could be a little more supportive, but overall comfort is not an issue with the HS70. Corsair has put together a design that evidently fits both cost and style, and if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Also, the extra wireless tech only adds another 11 grams onto the overall weight of the headset, taking it from 319g with the HS50 to 330g with the HS70.

Corsair HS70 wireless gaming headset

Audio is provided exclusively via a wireless 2.4GHz connection, which scuppers any connectivity with non-USB friendly devices, and means that Xbox One, personal device, and analog connectivity - when the battery runs low - are all out of the window. Luckily, Corsair has put a pretty chunky battery, rated for up to 16 hours in the headset, which is surprising considering the fairly minor weight gain over the wired option.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey has been leaked

It appears that the next Assassin’s Creed game will be set in Ancient Greece, and according to a photo that allegedly depicts some early merchandise, it’ll appropriately be called Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

JuexVideo-Live today published a photo they say was taken by a reliable insider, and it depicts a miniature Corinthian helmet on a keychain, in a package with convincing-looking Assassin’s Creed Odyssey branding.

The helmet style, favored by Greek hoplites and mythologized later by the Romans, is an unmistakable symbol of the ancient Greeks, with legendary figures such as Achilles often depicted wearing one. It’s linked to the keyring itself by a string of squares (tiles, perhaps) that bear a distinctively Greek motif.

Here's our list of upcoming PC games to keep your eye on.

This seems like a pretty plausible direction for Assassin’s Creed to head in after taking us to Egypt’s Greco-Roman era in Assassin’s Creed Origins. The use of “Odyssey” as the title suggests a trip even further back into history, as Homer’s epics were set around the Battle of Troy the 12th Century BC, while Homer himself is estimated to have lived in the 8th Century BC.

Assassin's Creed Origins

This all lines up precisely with rumors we heard back in March, when comicbook.com reported they'd heard from several sources inside Ubisoft that the Assassin's Creed series was headed to Ancient Greece. If that's the case, Odyssey is an apt title, and it suggests - at least a little - that we might be in for more of the beloved ship combat featured in Black Flag.

I became a prisoner of my own Fallout 4 settlement

Look, I'll admit it: I never finished Fallout 4. Before you get all uppity about that, and gather to organise my lynching, know that I finished Fallout 3. Twice, in fact. Know, also that I really did try to finish Fallout 4 (sort of). And know that it wasn’t my fault that I didn’t. After all, how could I when there was still so much work to be done rebuilding Sanctuary Hills?

Sure, the awkward, towering conglomerate of wood and corrugated metal I constructed was nowhere near as cosy as the House of Tomorrow which used to stand on this location - the one that served as my pre-apocalypse domicile - but it was the closest thing I had to a home.

Here are some of the most creative Fallout 4 settlements produced by the community.

I mean, don’t get me wrong: I was relatively concerned about my missing son and everything, and sort of mourning the wife I had spent all of five minutes living with at the start of the game, but also, y’know... what if I could electrify my base and then decorate it with christmas tree lights?

Fallout 4

Obviously, the lights and potential mayorship took precedence over any other concerns. And, as with many misguided leadership bids, it all started with the promise of a wall. I sealed off half the island, blocking invasion from the river or woods, but leaving a few ruins outside of the boundary - like feet poking out from under a well-defended duvet. Sometimes, at night, I would go and stand in one of these ruins, and drink in the sense of danger at being outside of my defensive line.

Best gaming motherboard 2018

Picking the best gaming motherboard is a vital part of piecing together your gaming PC, so we’ve tested the best Intel Z370 motherboards and mainstream chipsets for you.

It might not have the same performance impact as your choice of graphics card or CPU, but your motherboard will dictate which of either you can jam in your gaming build. And it doesn't stop there, your motherboard will decide what sort of storage drives you can plug in and what memory you can use too. We’ve tested the best boards from Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, and ASRock to help you choose the right one to build your rig around.

Take a look at our pick of the best AMD gaming motherboards, y'know, for contrast.

There are myriad options to consider when you’re picking the best motherboard for gaming. The most important choice, however, is whether you’re opting for an Intel or AMD processor as the beating heart of your rig. Last year team red launched the AMD Ryzen CPU platform, along with a whole new line of AM4 motherboards, making the choice a lot tougher.

Asus STRIX Z370-E Gaming

We’ve covered the best AMD gaming motherboards in another guide to cater for the AMD Ryzen 2 CPUs, but, because Intel can still just about claim the absolute best gaming performance from its platform, we're focusing on the different Intel options here.

Free games: Win a Steam key for new Lovecraftian card game Cultist Simulator!

Your parents probably told you not to join a cult. It should rank highly among the many tidbits of advice they give to you over the years. But, for this one time, we want you to ignore the good word of mum and dad. Instead, we're going to tell you that you should join a cult. How? By playing Cultist Simulator.

This is a new narrative-based card game rooted in the occult arts, and has you exploring the world of hidden gods and secret histories that lays underneath our own reality.

If that's not enticing enough then know this: it's made by Weather Factory, which is a studio led by Alexis Kennedy, who was one of the lead designers on Fallen London and Sunless Sea.

If you're after more freebies then here are some of the best free PC games.

The idea in Cultist Simulator is for you to start your own cult, recruit followers, and then obtain your own lofty, Lovecraftian goals. It's all sacrifices, rituals, and black magic. Failure can be as fun as success, too, as it's all woven together into a thrilling story. The game's roguelike structure means you can play it over and over to get different results as well.

Cultist Simulator

Now, as to how it all works, Cultist Simulator plays out on a table where an expanding collection of cards lays before you. Many of these cards represent your shady actions and the mysterious items you can acquire. You just slide them into action slots, which are linked to dreams, studies, and conversation. And so the game progresses.

League of Legends patch 8.12: World Cup skins and new Fighter items

League of Legends' next big content patch is 8.12, introducing new items for fighters, as well as a host of balance and bug fixes. Currently, those seem to be centered on tanks, with a suite of tweaks to Ornn and Sejuani, but they could be added to before the patch goes live.

The most important changes are the new items though - both Hydras have been changed, but there are two interesting additions in the form of Atma's Reckoning (a throwback to a long-defunct item, Atma's Impaler) and Spear of Shojin. The two items both give fighters some extra options into the late game, without having to rely on building tank items.

There are also new skins, of course. Dark Star Cho'Gath joins the abyssal skin line for a limited time, with 100% of proceeds being donated to charity. Also here for a limited time are Playmaker Lee Sin and Sweeper Rammus, arriving just in time for the 2018 Football World Cup, which begins in June.

Want in? You'll need the best League of Legends champions.

Dauntless guide - quick tips for aspiring behemoth hunters

Dauntless, the co-op monster hunting RPG, is now available for everyone as an open beta. You can explore the Shattered Isles and slay some behemoths right now without the need to buy the Founder's Pack. The Dauntless beta is currently in a solid state of development - all the core features are present, and there’s plenty of activities to do, so there’s never been a better time to start playing.

However, not everything you can do in it is as clear as can be. Dauntless is very much a game about experimenting and exploring systems, and that can feel obtuse for new players. If you’re finding that it’s not obvious what the difference between the five different weapons are, what the different colour damage numbers mean, or what tactics you should be using in combat, then we’ve got some advice for you. We’ve put together some handy tips to help make your first hunts successful.

Related: the best co-op games on PC.

So sharpen your blades, pack your health potions, and jump aboard an airship; it’s time to set off to the Shattered Isles, hunt down some beautiful creatures, and turn their corpses into huge swords and fancy clothing.

Dauntless is winning over PC monster hunters because, well, it's undaunting

The head is an owl’s. There’s no question about that - the Shrike, one of Dauntless’ behemoths, has those unmistakable concave facial features as if carved into the trunk of a tree. The beak is short and sharp, and its eyes give off a steady yellow glow, seeming to reflect the light from an unseen car beam. In the trailer for Dauntless’s open beta, I’ve seen the Shrike cock its head in sudden jolts, the way birds do.

Here on the ground, though, the monster appears more mammalian, burly and bearlike. Partly that’s because me and a fellow Slayer have literally knocked the feathers off the poor creature. To begin with, the Shrike looked the way they draw dinosaurs now, covered in plumage. Now it’s covered in cuts instead. As it stomps about the map, shoulders heaving, I notice a deep gash on its right leg. It’s hard not to feel guilty as the beast weakens with each blow, switching to more pitiable animation routines. Maybe crafting a new Shrike Helm will make me feel better. Or a Shrikesaber.

Prefer to play something out of beta already? These are the best co-op games on PC.

This is the core loop of Dauntless, the monster-hunting game that is threatening to be absolutely massive on PC. You and three friends set out into the wilderness of the Shattered Isles - a floating, magic-infused archipelago in the sky - to locate a large beastie. Once found, you’ll dodge its advances and pull off melee combos to bring it down. And then you’ll upgrade your gear to do it again.

Dauntless

This is all done to protect the hub town of Ramsgate from a new and terrifying wave of behemoths - although, frankly, I don’t think the locals would want all the beasts gone, since the sale of monster-killing tools is the cornerstone of their economy.

Can't wait for Stalker 2? Feast your eyes on these Fear the Wolves screenshots

Vostok Games, the studio of ex-STALKER devs, have released new screenshots from their upcoming battle royale, Fear the Wolves. There’s a total of five screenshots, primarily focusing on the game’s post-apocalyptic environment, situated in the irradiated ruins of Chernobyl.

However, while the factories and villages of the game’s map feature heavily, the screenshots also offer a look at the game’s other threats. Most notable among them is the arrival of the titular mutant wolves, which you can get a better look at in the screenshots towards the bottom of this article.

Technically, every battle royale is a fight for survival, but here’s our list of the best survival games on PC.

See, Fear the Wolves avoids being just another PUBG clone thanks to its STALKER-style survival elements. You’ll need to deal with radiation, changing weather, and hostile creatures as well as other players if they want to come out on top. Protective gear will allow you to enter into the most irradiated areas, to scavenge for rare loot, but when it comes to those wolves (and those pesky opponents) you’ll have to rely on your own abilities.

Fear the Wolves

For the most part though, you should know what’s going on if you’re a fan of battle royale - 100 players drop into the map, loot up as quickly as possible, and make sure to stay alive for as long as possible. Anyway, you’re here for screenshots, so check them out below.

AMD's new H-series Ryzen Mobile CPUs are set to take on Intel's Coffee Lake chips

AMD looks to be widening its mobile portfolio. Recent leaks indicate the red team is prepping two high-performance mobile APUs: the Ryzen 7 2800H and Ryzen 5 2600H. The pair of mobile CPUs, with integrated Vega graphics, are set to take on the top end of Intel’s mobile gaming and workstation chips, a market that AMD has been hesitant to compete in since the first generation of Ryzen launched.

AMD hasn’t entirely ignored the mobile market up until this point. It released the Ryzen Mobile CPUs for ultrathin laptops right at the end of 2017, and they’ve proven to be pretty hearty contenders against Intel’s current low-power lineup. However, when it came to high-performance chips, AMD was nowhere to be found.

Don’t mind a PC that is a little less maneuverable? Here are the best CPUs for gaming on a desktop.

Except for the Intel Kaby Lake G chip, of course. But, for straight-shooting, pure AMD products, the company hasn’t made an attempt to compete with Chipzilla in the high-performance mobile market - until now.

The Thargoids get new ships in Elite Dangerous: Beyond Chapter 2

The second chapter of Elite Dangerous: Beyond will release at the end of June. An announcement from Frontier released today revealed that commanders will have access to the new content from June 28.

Beyond Chapter 2 is the first of two small mid-season updates, which will be followed up by a major update in the autumn. Once it launches, you’ll get access to a whole bunch of new missions, adding to the wing missions introduced in chapter one, with settlements to explore as the ever-present Thargoid threat continues to grow. There’ll also be a new Chieftain variant, the Alliance Challenger, which operates as a frontline vessel capable of soaking up plenty of damage.

Elite Dangerous is definitely worthy of a spot on our list of the best space games, but there are some other great ways to explore the stars on there too.

The update also includes new installation interactions, allowing commanders to scan and interact with Space Installations. You can disable outer turrets, source data from the comms array, and steal materials from the cargo bay.

Thargoid Scout

Of course, the ever-growing Thargoid threat means that no update would be complete without, well, more Thargoids. The Beyond teaser trailer, which you can watch below, gives us a peek at new Thargoid scout ships.

Don't believe the new FromSoft 'leak'

Someone has claimed to leak several details of FromSoftware's next game - currently known as Shadows Die Twice based on the only text in its teaser trailer from The Game Awards last year. Posting on 4chan under the username 'A Man', they say "it will appear at E3 with a full length trailer and some gameplay," which will be similar to Bloodborne, "but more vicious and brutal." The world will be "more open," with "a more directly told story."

It is very likely nonsense. The OP doesn't offer a single source to back up a short list of suggestions that any FromSoft fan could invent if asked "what do you reckon the next game will be like?" There is an image that could easily be photoshopped from the TGA trailer, and in no way looks official.

For a list of exciting projects that we actually know stuff about, check our list of upcoming PC games.

Among the many 'Anonymous' replies, there are several from other users also calling themselves 'A Man' (you can do that on 4chan - they may or may not be the same person as the OP. There's no way to tell.) One has posted an image, perhaps trying to pass it as concept art, but an image search reveals it's been ripped off from a (clearly talented) chap named ryan99317 on DeviantArt. Another is obviously trolling, and yet there is no reason either of them should be taken less seriously than the OP.

shadows die twice from software next game

We all know that game details can leak. But when they do, the leaker usually wants to be taken seriously, so they at least attempt to name a source, or post on places like Reddit or ResetEra where they can build a reputation for credibility under an identifiable alias.

Fortnite Blockbuster week 5: where to find the secret Battle Star in Moisty Mire

Where is the Fortnite Blockbuster week 5 Battle Pass tier? This new challenge type gives players an extra easter egg hunt to embark upon every week, which can only be accessed if you have ticked off all of week 5’s Battle Pass challenges. Completing every easy and hard week 5 challenge will grant you a new loading screen that tells a story about the superhero characters of Fortnite Season 4. However, secreted away in the background of every Blockbuster challenge loading screen - often hiding in plain sight - is a clue for where you can find a free Battle Pass tier.

Fortnite's week 5 challenges boast plenty of variation and are not quite as taxing as the previous week’s set of challenges, so it should not take you too long to unlock the Fortnite Blockbuster week 5 loading screen. The Fortnite week 5 loading screen was leaked onto Reddit before the challenges even became available, so we have had ample time to scour over the loading screen and figure out exactly where the week 5 free Battle Pass tier is.

Related: here are the best multiplayer games on PC.

fortnite blockbuster week 5 location

The loading screen shows a number of Fortnite Season 4 characters duelling in Tilted Towers, but if you look closely at the wall below the burning helicopter you can make out red spray paint in the shape of a crab with a yellow splodge just above it. Zoom in a bit closer and that yellow mark is clearly a Battle Star, which means the free tier is located on top of the wooden crab structure in the southeast of the map near Moisty Mire. Below you’ll see the leaked week 5 loading screen with the free Battle pass tier circled.

Days Gone vijanden onthuld

Daarnaast bevat Days Gone zwervende zombie hordes.

New Fortnite skins pay homage to LeBron James

Update, May 31: A new Fortnite datamine has revealed a suite of new cosmetics.

The files from the Fortnite v4.3 update have been datamined, meaning a host of new skins have been revealed. As ever, the new Fortnite skins should show up in the shop at some time in the near future.

The definite highlight of the new set of skins is the Legendary plant-themed Flytrap skin. He fits in nicely with the superhero (or supervillain) theme of Fortnite Season 4, and comes with his own glider and pickaxe. There are also Epic skins for Ventura (the female version of the previously datamined Venturion skin) and bandit-themed skins Scoundrel and Rapscallion, complete with eye-masks and stripey jumpers.

Fortnite definitely has the best cosmetics, but which is the best battle royale game?

There's also two basketball-themed skins, Jumpshot and Triple Threat. The first of those is pretty clearly based on Cleveland Cavaliers player LeBron James. Sure, the facial hair and tattoos might be a little different, but the skin matches James' armbands and features the Cavaliers' colours.

Fortnite LeBron James

You can check out all the new Fortnite skins at FortniteIntel. The basketball skins also get their own Slam Dunk pickaxe and the Hang Time glider. There's even a glider inspired by Van Gogh's Starry Night, which is an interesting choice, as well as Burgle Bag and Strongbox Back Blings to go with the new robber skins.

Fortnite week 5 challenges: search seven Gravity Stones, Greasy Grove treasure map, and Dusty Divot chests

What are the Fortnite week 5 challenges? As we approach the halfway mark in the battle royale game’s fourth season, we have another set of Fortnite challenges to keep us busy as we we earn ourselves even more juicy battle stars and premium loot.

As always we have four challenges that reward five battle stars and 3 harder tasks that rain down ten of the beautiful blighters. The Fortnite week 5 challenges look simple enough: from damage dealing with SMGs to Minigun eliminations and treasure map missions, your objectives here are familiar. However, the curious challenge involves searching for ‘Gravity Stones’, which appear to be distinct to the Hop Rocks that were first scattered in the meteor-created craters that appeared at the beginning of season 4.

For more king of the hill thrills, here are the games like Fortnite you should try.

The Fortnite week 5 challenges are now live after previously being delayed. Below you will find the Fortnite week 5 challenges and how to complete them.

Nvidia’s GTX 1180 GPU will be detailed at the Hot Chips symposium on August 20

It looks like Nvidia’s next-generation graphics card, whether GTX 1180 or GTX 2080, will at least be announced by August 20, when the Hot Chips Symposium rolls around. The program has now been released for the event with all the big names in attendance, and the talk that’s caught our attention is the one by Stuart Oberman titled: ‘NVIDIA’s Next Generation Mainstream GPU’ in the Graphics Solution slot on the Monday.

The title has obviously been kept deliberately vague so we don’t get any early hints as to what the new gaming-focused Nvidia graphics cards are called, or what architecture they’re going to be powered by.

Check out all the rumours, news, and guesswork about Nvidia’s GTX 1180.

Given that Oberman’s Hot Chips talk will likely go into some detail about the new GeForce GPU it seems pretty likely that it will either be announced before then, or we might possibly even see them released by August 20. We’ve heard that Gamescom will be a big deal for Nvidia, and that falls just a day later...

About all we know about the next-gen GPUs is they'll have green writing

Hot Chips issued a press release yesterday which details the great and the good of PC gaming technology representing at the event.

“We will hear from the CPU and GPU giants: AMD featuring their next-gen client chip, NVIDIA with their next-gen GPU, and Intel with an interesting die-stacked CPU with iGPU plus stacked dGPU.”

Gearbox could be making Borderlands GOTY. Again

A remaster of the original Borderlands could be on the way. The Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee has posted a listing for something called Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, suggesting Gearbox could be working on a revamped version of their first trip to Pandora.

That title comes as quite the surprise, as there’s already a Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition. You can buy it on Steam right now, and you’ve been able to do so since October 2010. In fact, I’m pretty sure the GOTY edition is the version of Borderlands I bought when I first played it.

Whether Borderlands is primarily an FPS or an RPG is apparently up for debate (it's not, it's an FPS), but here are some of the best RPGs that are, you know, actually RPGs.

Gematsu links to three different listings for the game - one for Xbox One, one for PS4, and one for PC - but all three seem to have been taken down (unlike the recent listing for Sunset Overdrive PC). There is, of course, no official word from 2K or Gearbox on the existence of the game, although we’ve reached out for comment and will update this article when we know more.

Borderlands remaster

What we do (probably) know is that this is at the very least some kind of re-release. Borderlands can currently only be played on Xbox One and PS4 through backwards compatibility, so a listing for those consoles should mean a new title. Exactly what it is remains confusing, though.

What it's like to be raided by Dr DisRespect fans

I'm 1:59 hours into a stream of House Flipper, quietly fixing up a bedroom for the enjoyment of a single viewer - who may or may not have even been watching - when the chat came to life.

"DOC RAID"

"DOC RAID"

By the time I noticed the chat, it was unusable. All caps racial slurs were clogging Twitch's AutoMod feature, and a baying crowd was commenting on everything from my quiet voice, to a lazy eye and my autism.

Random men on the internet have been screaming at me for the length of my game journalism career, but in this specific case I was baffled. How exactly had we got here?

Not sure what to stream next? Here are this year's upcoming PC games.

The answer, as it often is in these cases, was a tweet. It was a throwaway statement I had made that lacks a lot of context, responding to a tweet from PC Gamer's editor-in-chief Evan Lahti, which a few of my friends had jumped onto.

dr disrespect twitch chat

Lahti highlighted a tweet from streamer Dr DisRespect suggesting that if he didn't get his own PUBG skin in the next five days, he'd stop playing the game.

Black Ops 4 will have aim assist on PC, but only in Zombies

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s aim assist will be off when using a controller on PC. The feature (or lack thereof) was confirmed by one of Treyarch’s community managers in a post on Reddit last week.

The post stems from an issue with Black Ops 3, in which aim assist was very strong, and PC players were able to exploit the game to get it working with mouse and keyboard, offering a fairly major advantage. In the Reddit post, a community manager stated definitively that “aim assist with controllers will be off on PC in competitive PvP modes.”

Call of Duty: WW2 made it onto our list of the best FPS games when it returned to putting boots on the ground, but will Black Ops 4 surpass it?

The mention of "competitive modes" seems to refer specifically to traditional Call of Duty multiplayer and the game’s Blackout battle royale mode. That implies that Black Ops 4’s Zombies will have aim assist enabled for PC players using controller, which seems like a fair compromise.

As noted on Reddit, this is all still subject to testing, but our hands-on with Black Ops 4’s multiplayer found that it was the most streamlined Call of Duty yet. You can check out eight minutes of multiplayer gameplay below:

Days Gone bevat zwervende hordes zombies

Rage 2's developer has been bought by a movie studio

The Danish film and entertainment studio Nordisk Film is taking full ownership of Avalanche Studios, developer of Just Cause, Mad Max, and - with id Software - the forthcoming open world shooter Rage 2.

Nordisk has been keen to point out that, under its ownership, "Avalanche Studios' strategy will remain unaltered. It will continue as a creatively independent game studio, developing its own IPs, as well as catering to third-party publishers and license holders." That last point is significant, as it suggests collaboration with entities such as Bethesda - which is publishing Rage 2 - might remain on the table.

Do you like running around making a nuisance of yourself? Play around in the best sandbox games on PC.

As part of a long-running strategy in investing in Nordic game developers, Nordisk acquired a minority stake in Avalanche in April 2017. The decision to take full ownership follows an impressive year since then, says Nordisk managing director Mikkel Weider. It will mark the single largest acquisition in Nordisk Film's 111-year history, and will be finalised by the end of June this year.

The news is just the latest in a series of exciting announcements for Avalanche just recently, with Rage 2 announced and the opening of a brand new studio - Avalanche Malmö.
