Back in the early 2000s, when developing a new MMO was seen by some as the future of game development, one of the many titles to come out was Dark Age of Camelot. Developed by Mythic Entertainment, who had also made the relatively unknown Aliens Online, it was released in 2001 as one of the many competitors in the MMO market. It's definitely past its hayday, but there's going to be a new reason to check out this decade-and-a-half old MMO: it's getting a free to play option.

Announced in a blog post (and caught by MMOGames), the new mode will be called Endless Conquest, and will allow new players to jump in on the game, with some limitations.
