Anthem will not have lootboxes. The game's executive producer, Mark Darrah, confirmed the game's microtransactions will not be randomised, and will not be pay-to-win.
There will still be microtransactions, but they will be limited to cosmetic items, allowing you to customise your suit (known in-game as a Javelin) with your own colour scheme as well as tools to assist in gameplay.
