Overwatch is now a respectable two years old, and to celebrate, the game is offering double the experience points this weekend. It’s the conclusion to the second anniversary celebration, which has also included new legendary skins and the introduction of a new map.
Last year, Overwatch held a double XP weekend for its first anniversary, and they’re obviously a great way to rake in loot boxes. This time around though, it’s timed with the larger two-year anniversary celebration, which means you can get certain legendary skins and other items that were previously only available during limited time events in the past.
Overwatch is one of the best multiplayer games on the PC.
That all means it’s a perfect time to jump back into Overwatch if you missed your shot at nabbing Lifeguard McCree or Dragon Symmetra when they were available the first time around. You can play past seasonal brawls in the Arcade, such as the Halloween-themed Junkenstein’s Revenge. The two-year anniversary event also marks the debut of Overwatch’s latest map, Petra, which is a sprawling, varied map with three distinct zones that has something for just about every hero.
This is the last hurrah for the second anniversary celebration, which wraps up Monday. You’ve got until then to rack up as much XP and shiny loot boxes as you can.
