Tickets to the first-ever Overwatch League Grand Finals have sold out. Yep, if you didn’t already buy some then you’re too late, sorry. The finals will determine the champions of the world’s first global, city-based esports league, and will be held from July 27th-28th at Barclays Center. The Brooklyn venue is New York’s primary indoor arena and has already hosted a handful of esports events.
More than 20,000 tickets were shifted following the public sale date - Friday, May 18th - which is more than the number of times you will hear “I need healing!” in any given comp match. It also makes the Grand Finals the biggest esports event ever hosted at the Barclays Center. While demand for the finals is undeniably huge, this result still pales in comparison to Blizzard’s yearly flagship gathering, BlizzCon, which usually sells out in about 20 minutes for over 27,000 tickets.

The event is the culmination of OWL’s inaugural season which kicked off in January. Four stages have played out since then, with Stage 4 Finals set to take place on June 17th. Following this will be the Overwatch League Playoffs, taking place from July 11th-21th, at Blizzard Arena Los Angeles, in Burbank, California. Tickets are still available for these matches at AXS.com.
The victors of the Grand Finals will take home the winning share of the $1.4 million prize pool and get the chance to make history, lifting the OWL trophy as the league’s inaugural champions.
