Bungie will reveal Destiny 2's second year - in other words, its big September expansion - at 09:00 Pacific (17:00 BST) on Tuesday, June 5. Twitch is the venue for the studio's "next really big show," which will set out "some big ideas for how we're going to transform your Guardian lifestyle and reinforce your hobby as an interplanetary hero."
Game director Steve Cotton and project lead Scott Taylor will lead the reveal, responding to community feedback and unveiling "some other things you haven't even been looking forward to... yet." Community manager David 'DeeJ' Dague says it will start a conversation that will last the summer, meaning we'll undoubtedly see more at E3.
Cotton and Taylor have been present in previous reveals, but this will be their most prominent role yet as spokespeople for Destiny 2. Notably, Cotton is at least the third person we've heard titled a 'game director', after Luke Smith and Christopher Barrett. Smith was the pointman ahead of Destiny 2's launch, while Barrett has been leading the live team since then.
Bungie made the announcement last night via its traditional weekly update. If by chance you should be reading this on June 5, you can watch the reveal on Bungie's Twitch via this embed:
